Description

The Pharmacy Technician Diploma at Red Deer College is a nationally accredited program that prepares students to become a Registered Pharmacy Technician. Students will gain valuable training through applied learning in classrooms, laboratories and practicum placements.

This program is accredited by the Canadian Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs (CCAPP). It prepares the graduate to become a Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) following graduation and successful completion of the Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada (PEBC) certification process and the Alberta College of Pharmacists (ACP) registration process. Exams

English Proficiency Requirements:

For direct admission, applicant must be from an English speaking country or meet either of the following English test scores:

  • Min TOEFL iBT: 92
  • Min IELTS overall: 7 (Min Reading: 6.5, Min Writing: 6.5, Min Listening: 6.5, Min Speaking: 6.5)

NOTE: Applicants interested in applying for direct admission, but are yet to complete an acceptable language test, can do so, but must provide valid results before receiving a final offer letter.

For conditional admission, instead of submitting language proficiency test scores, applicant may complete English courses prior to the academic program. The length of the English course is determined based on the applicant's level of English proficiency.
