If students are looking for a career that will help feed, clothe, house or even fuel the world they have found the right place. Olds College’s Agricultural Management diploma program gives students a comprehensive education in all aspects of agriculture. Through a mix of classroom time and hands-on experience on the Olds College farm, students work together in small classes with like-minded peers and learn from instructors who have unparalleled knowledge and experience in the agriculture industry. 

Students in the Agricultural Management program will develop a foundation of business skills, including communication, accounting and marketing strategies informed by surveying global and local policy facing the agricultural industry. They will be exposed to the advancement of agricultural technology, from accounting software to farm machinery. They will gain an environmental understanding in the production of food, feed, fuel and fibre, livestock physiology and health, and the global issues that are currently impacting the industry.

Agricommerce - will prepare students for a career in agricultural lending, finance, marketing and sales of service products to the agriculture industry or the agricultural products destined for the consumer's plate. Students will develop the skills to successfully develop business plans, marketing campaigns, sales tactics, and strategically manage an agribusiness through applying business principles to achieve goals.

For direct admission, applicant must be from an English speaking country or meet either of the following English test scores:

  • Min TOEFL iBT: 80 (Min Reading: 18.0, Min Writing: 18.0, Min Listening: 18.0, Min Speaking: 18.0)
  • Min IELTS overall: 6 (Min Reading: 5.5, Min Writing: 5.5, Min Listening: 5.5, Min Speaking: 5.5)
  • Min Duolingo English Test Score: 105

NOTE: Applicants interested in applying for direct admission, but are yet to complete an acceptable language test, can do so, but must provide valid results before receiving a final offer letter.
