The Welding Fabrication Year 1 program introduces students to the essential welding processes, tools and procedures. They will learn rigging procedures, gouging and cutting, blueprint reading and basic and intermediate welding skills. Emphasis is placed on demonstrating these skills through extensive training in Holland College's workshop.
The West Prince Campus is a Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) test centre, which gives students the option to participate in weld testing.
Upon completion of Welding 1, students may opt to continue to build on their skills in the second year of the Welding Fabrication program offered at the Georgetown Centre.
