Environment provides first-year courses and the foundation for progression to the second year of SFU's Faculty of Environment. With growing awareness of Environmental issues around the World, a degree from the Faculty of the Environment will provide multiple career options in Canada and around the World.
The SFU ELC program is an intensely interactive learning experience in a university setting. It emphasizes the importance of improving the students' language skills and understanding the culture in which a language is used. Students will be able to continue learning independently outside the classroom, and will gain the confidence to use English in any setting.
Students who are eligible for transfer will be admitted to the Faculty of Environment at Simon Fraser University, to continue with their Bachelor of Arts program in one the following areas of study:
Archaeology (BA)
Archaeology and Anthropology (joint major)
Archaeology and First Nations Studies (joint major)
Development and Sustainability (minor only)
Human Geography (BA)
