The Environmental Studies certificate provides an interdisciplinary approach to the full breadth of today’s global environment. Students select at least three courses that deal with environmental issues in a scientific way. Students can also explore their interests by taking more science or studying courses from a social, cultural,
philosophical, political or economic perspective. This certificate is a stepping stone to a number of diplomas, associate degrees or bachelor degrees. Students must complete an environmental project to receive the certificate.
After completion of the certificate, students find employment in entry-level jobs or move into other programs to become more specialized.
