The study of society's impact on the earth's ecosystems and resources has become increasingly important over the past 20 years. The BA program in environmental science at ASU's West campus is dedicated to finding solutions to the challenges posed by climate change.

As technology evolves at a dizzying pace and the global population grows each year, the measurement of the human race's impact on our environment has created many new jobs and career paths.

Environmental basics are required, ensuring that students are well-versed in biological study including molecular, organismal and ecosystem biology. This is backed by a strong foundation in chemistry, statistics and geographic information systems.

Because environmental science is a versatile, multifaceted field, ASU supplements this degree with a focus on the management and communication skills necessary in various environmentally-specific careers.
