Valencia College - West Campus

1800 South Kirkman Road, Orlando, Florida, USA | Public University | Established 1967

About us

Located in Orlando, Florida, Valencia College is fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and, in 2011, was named the best community college in the nation by the Aspen Institute. As a community college, Valencia primarily offers two-year associate degrees, which transfer to university bachelor’s programs. Compared to a Florida public university, the level of education at Valencia is just the same, but the tuition is 40% less, the class sizes are typically smaller and there are more support resources.

With more than 100 countries represented on our campuses, Valencia welcomes students from all over the world. Our dedicated International Student Services team can assist you with everything from admissions and immigration to academic advising and university transfer.

University transfer program:

After earning a two-year associate degree from Valencia, students can transfer to a top-tier U.S. university as a third-year student to complete their bachelor’s degrees.

  • Guaranteed admission into one of Florida’s 12 public universities, including University of Florida, University of South Florida, Florida State University, Florida International University and University of Central Florida.

  • Priority access to transfer to the University of Central Florida in Orlando through DirectConnect to UCF.

  • The University of Central Florida offers bachelor’s degree programs on Valencia College’s West and Osceola campuses in state-of-the-art buildings shared by both institutions.

  • There are plenty of excellent universities to transfer to outside the state of Florida as well. Each fall, Valencia hosts College Night, an event where students can meet admissions representatives from more than 120 colleges and universities from around the country.

  • Valencia also offers its own bachelor’s degrees, one of which is available to international students–the Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology.
