About us

Illinois Institute of Technology, also known as "Illinois Tech," is a private research university located in the heart of Chicago, Illinois. It is the only technology-focused university in Chicago and it offers over 40 undergraduate and graduate programs that specialize in engineering, science, psychology, architecture, business, and technology.

Illinois Tech strives to be on the cutting edge of invention and innovation and the school has been recognized as one of the world's leading design schools based on the achievements of its students and faculty. Members of the university's community have been responsible for some of the most innovative advancements of the modern age, including the development of re-entry technology for spacecrafts. Alumni include a Nobel laureate and the inventor of the cell phone.
