About us

The Univesity of Law is one of the UK's longest-established specialist providers of legal education. ULaw can trace their origins to 1876 with the formation of tutorial firm Gibson & Weldon, and in 2016, they opened their leading Business School. With a rich heritage and a reputation for innovation and contemporary teaching practices, ULaw continuously focuses on developing the best legal and business minds.

The Nottingham campus has brand new, modern teaching facilities and innovative student spaces - it even has a retro gaming arcade. All this within walking distance of numerous restaurants, theatres, pubs and entertainment venues. Nottingham’s award-winning public transport system gives easy access to and from the campus, which is ideally situated in the city’s business district adjacent to Nottingham Castle and close to many top law firms and businesses.

The dedicated on-site employability team are here to guide students through their time with the University of Law; from understanding and deciding which steps to take, to supporting them with developing their CVs and applications, and preparing them for interviews. Local firms visit regularly to give insight talks, explaining their practice areas and recruitment cycles. The Employability and Pro Bono teams work together to help students find work experience and improve their career prospects.
