UAB arts programs know that creatives don't like their art to have boundaries. We've designed our arts programs with that mentality to mind. Whether you have your sights on performing in the national tour, teaching the next generation of artists or healing patients through music therapy, both UAB and Birmingham's artistic community create a thriving environment for future artists, actors, musicians and dancers. UAB has dedicated an Institute for Arts in Medicine so that you can learn how to uplift patients through sharing your art.
AIM spans to cover painting, drawing, music, storytelling, dance and more in its programming. For those interested in arts education, UAB's Alys Stephen Center's ArtPlay is a renovated victorian house where you can see firsthand how the ASC makes arts more accessible to the community
