Description

As a social science education major, students will learn how to analyze and apply critical and creative thinking to societal issues. Their courses will also focus on the areas of technology and interdisciplinary perspectives that can be used to solve practical problems in today’s world. As students progress through their degree program, they'll have opportunities to explore the disciplines of anthropology, geography, sociology, psychology, history, economics and political science. And through their deeper understanding of these subjects, students also learn methodologies to teach middle school and high school students how to understand and contribute to society in meaningful ways.
