No job is more challenging, rewarding, or important than teaching small children. As an elementary educator, students will help shape the character—and future—of every child in their classroom. It's a big responsibility. The elementary education program will prepare students to succeed.

Students will develop the skills to meet challenges in today’s classrooms with professional practice and lifelong learning. In addition to earning a baccalaureate degree, this plan leads to an Institutional Recommendation for Elementary Teacher Certification in the State of Arizona; students must take and pass the National Evaluation Series (NES) Elementary Education Subtest I and II subject knowledge tests.
