Description
The social work major at NAU Yuma will provide students with the core competencies required to help border populations experiencing overwhelming life challenges such as poverty, under and unemployment, substandard housing, homelessness, hunger, and problems associated with PTSD. Social workers approach their work with people from the strengths perspective, while also examining the individual within their environment.
