Description

This advanced program of study offers students a choice between a thesis and extended coursework. This advanced degree allows students to explore the discipline of mathematics by concentrating in two of four areas: analysis and topology; algebra and combinatorics; applied mathematics and dynamical systems; and actuarial and financial mathematics.

Through a rigorous course of study, the Master's Degree in Mathematics takes an undergraduate degree in mathematics one step further to provide preparation for further study in pure mathematics or as career preparation in applied mathematics or as a community college teacher.
