Description

Virtually every business needs someone with specialized financial knowledge. This degree provides the theoretical background and quantitative tools for financial analysis, strategic planning, capital budgeting, management of working capital, sources of capital, assessment of risk, and valuation of securities, assets, and firms. This degree also provides training in advanced computer technology, data acquisition, and spreadsheet modeling.

By pursuing a degree in finance, students will develop the analytical, technical, and interpersonal skills needed in these professions. Here, students will experience small classes, dedicated faculty, and a strong emphasis on hands-on experience. Students will have access to advanced computer technology, including spreadsheet modeling and data acquisition. Students also will study the theory and practice of financial decision-making and analysis, and develop critical oral and written communication skills.
