Studying Economics & Finance is a great opportunity to combine a broad understanding of how they impact on the world around us. Learn to analyse economic and financial information, while also determining the impact of decisions on financial institutions, the economy and wider society.

We take economic decisions every day of our lives and in turn are affected by the decisions of other people and institutions. Economics is the study of these decisions and actions and this Economics & Finance Degree will enable you to understand how these processes work.

Study in an engaging and supportive environment and gain the analytical, quantitative and transferable skills required by employers in both the private and public sectors. During Level 1 you will develop a grounding in economics and finance, followed by opportunities to study more specialist and applied topics in Levels 2 and 3. 

This programmes focuses on the application of theory to real-world scenarios, to develop applied skills and knowledge in a bid to solve economic and financial problems at local and international levels. You could study modules such as International Trade, International Finance, Risk and Insurance or Contemporary Business Economics, allowing you to understand the workings of world economies and world finance. The skills graduates of this programme possess are in high demand, allowing you to work in a diverse range of professions from banking and insurance to analysis, market research and economics.

Students will also gain additional Chartered Management Institute (CMI) accreditation (* subject to approval) including an additional qualification.
