Description

This program consists of a pathway program offered by StudyGroup at the Durham University International Study Centre located at Queen's Campus, in Stockton on Tees. After completing the pathway, students will progress into a program at Durham University. In an international foundation year students will study courses related to their intended field of study alongside English to develop and enhance your skills as a student. Advancement into their intended program depends upon successful completion of the pathway program.

This International Foundation Year provides the subject knowledge, language proficiency and study skills students need to progress to degree study at the Durham University, Durham City campus a in a range of subjects related to economics, accounting or finance.

After completing this pathway, students will transfer to the BA Marketing and Management program. Marketing at Durham is varied and dynamic. Programs in marketing at Durham adopt an interdisciplinary approach, drawing on knowledge from fields such as psychology, sociology, anthropology, philosophy and economics. In addition to understanding functional aspects of the subject which include areas such as strategy, consumer behaviour, branding, market research and communications; you will have the opportunity to develop specialisms in areas that interest you.

Flexibility – subject to successful completion of your first year – it may be possible to change your degree path to Business and Management. (Students who require a Tier 4 visa will need to check this is in accordance with the Tier 4 regulations which are in place at that time).
