If you want to do your undergraduate degree at University of Victoria but do not yet meet the English language requirements, the University Pathways Program (Pathways) might be the perfect option for you.

Pathways is not just an English language program: it’s an opportunity to make a strong start at university by combining first-year credit courses with advanced academic English classes. As a Pathways student you will study in small classes, enjoy personal attention from professors and gain vital study tools to be successful at University of Victoria.

Student's in the University Pathways Program study the same curriculum and textbooks as other University of Victoria students. You’ll also have access to University of Victorias wide range of international student supports, such as the University of Victoria library, student mentorship program and tutors.

As a Pathways student you can look forward to a challenging, supported first year of university that will put you on the path to success in your University of Victoria degree program.

Program features:

• Full-time, 12-month program
• 2 program streams: Social Sciences (includes pre-Business) or Science and Engineering
• 7 first-year credit courses = 10.5 units of credit
• University of Victoria curriculum and instructors
• Smaller first-year classes
• Specialized workshops that are catered to the needs of the students
• Additional academic support through labs and tutorials
• Potential to graduate in 4 years*

*For a 4-year degree program. Engineering is a 5-year program.
