In the Bachelor of Communication Studies program, you specialize in journalism or professional communication. Your degree prepares you for a strategic role in business, traditional and new media, not-for-profit and public sector organizations—wherever clear, correct and effective messages are valued.

Guided by faculty who are working in the interdisciplinary and evolving fields of journalism and professional communication, you learn how to deliver clear and compelling messages using a variety of media.

Journalism major:

You want to be a professional news journalist. You want to investigate ideas and uncover the truth. In this major, you prepare for the journalism industry, learning in-depth writing, research and reporting skills.
