Description

Learn the art of making someone feel great. You'll promote wellness as an important part of health care, use specialized skin care treatments, and address beauty, anti-aging and stress issues. You’ll study the anatomy and physiology of the skin, diseases and pharmacology, epidemiology and nutrition. Plus you’ll develop communication and business skills. You’ll learn to do:

• manicures and pedicures including gel polish
• facials including chemical peel and microdermabrasion
• body treatments such as wraps and scrubs
• body waxing
• makeup artistry
• lash and brow tints
• relaxation/hot rock massage 

At Lakeland College, your learning will be in two venues--in the classroom and in the on-campus wellness lab (spa). You'll have an opportunity to practice your new knowledge and skills with real clients in a spa setting.
