Description

The Automotive Technology program provides a comprehensive introduction to the mechanical and technological skills students will need to work as an automotive service technician. The program gives students a solid grounding in mechanical systems, computers, networks, electronics, and non-mechanical systems they will encounter on the job. Students will take what they learn in the classroom and apply it in Holland College’s Automotive Technology shop.

 

ON THE JOB TRAINING

Students will work on a fleet of diverse vehicles to develop their skills, then they will have an on the job training work placement where they will be in a real work environment. On the job training not only provides valuable real-life experience, it also helps students build a network of potential employers.
