Description

Douglas College's Post-Degree Diploma in Project Management enables students to learn the project management theories, tools and techniques they need to meet project goals on time and on budget, while maintaining high standards. Graduates will be prepared to take on roles such as construction manager, engineering manager, property administrator, IT project manager and more.

No matter the industry, project management skills are valued by companies as clients continue to expect better, faster and more low-cost solutions. Project management is one of the most desired skillsets by employers and one of the top 10 must-have skillsets in the IT industry. Over the past several years, There has been steady growth in the number of job opportunities for project management roles, a trend that is likely to continue as companies focus on growth opportunities and navigating the complexities of modern business operations and global markets.

Graduates will have the knowledge and skills to sit the following Project Management Institute certification exams: Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), Project Management Professional (PMP) and Project Management–Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP). These certifications are recognized around the world. On average, project managers with a PMP certification earn 20 percent more money than those without.

Customized Two-Year Post-Degree Programs: If students want to complete two years of study and diversify their learning and experience, Douglas College offers post-degree programs consisting of two, one-year post-degree diplomas. Students apply for both programs at the same time. Students graduate with two credentials and a solid combination of experience and skills. Completion of two different one-year Post-Degree Diploma programs will also allow graduates to apply for a three-year Post-Graduate Work Permit (PGWP).
