Bachelor of Arts - Indigenous Studies

Indigenous Studies explores art, law, philosophy, health, politics, history, gender studies, ecology, business, customs and language — all from a unique Indigenous perspective — making this one of the most sought-after programs of its kind in Canada.

In this program, you’ll have the opportunity to investigate First Nations’, Métis and Inuit (FNMI) history, heritage and culture, as well as the contemporary issues that face FNMI communities.

As a student of Indigenous Studies, you’ll have access to Indigenous instructors, who are often nationally or internationally renowned, seasoned professionals with real-world experience.

Bachelor of Management - Human Resource Management and Labour Relations

Human resource management is the study of people at work and the activities associated with recruitment and selection; training and development; retention and occupational health; and safety. A key component is organizational behaviour, which examines things like leadership, motivation, employee attitudes and productivity.

Labour relations is the study of how employers and employees work together to create a fair workplace.

Human resource and labour relations professionals provide an essential link between employees and management, helping address work-related concerns, developing policies and protecting the rights of both parties. Our graduates lead change while fostering a positive attitude towards organizational objectives.

As a HRMLR major, you'll study diversity in employment, leading organizational change, collective labour relations, research methodology, advanced organizational behaviour, staffing, performance management, managing employee health & safety, Canadian labour & employment law, leading organizational change, statistical inference, management policy & strategy, and managerial skill development. You will draw from fields such as history, English, political science, economics and sociology.
