The Combined BA/BMgt or BSc/BMgt degree program takes five years (50 courses) to complete and leads to the conferral of two degrees.

Bachelor of Management - Marketing

Marketing is a combination of art and science appealing to creative people with an analytical orientation. Marketers are the crucial link between an organization and its customers/end-users and suppliers, building relationships that benefit all parties. Consequently, marketing is rooted in a strong understanding of the customer, whether an individual or an organization.

Identifying consumer needs, developing new products/services or communications strategies, ensuring products and services are available where and when consumers want them, determining prices, and having the ability to adjust all of these for domestic and international markets for different cultures — that’s the job of a marketer.

If you are creative, practical, like both people and numbers, show strong analytical abilities and have excellent communications skills (including listening), one of the many available careers in marketing may interest you. While different types of marketing jobs require different skill sets, marketers need to communicate effectively, work independently, be self-motivated and willing to show initiative.

Almost one-third of North Americans are employed in marketing or marketing-related positions. Marketing’s role within organizations is becoming increasingly important, and marketing professionals hold crucial positions.

Bachelor of Arts - Art

Build your program around your diverse interests across art, humanities, sciences and social sciences. Your program allows you to focus your attention on studio art and art history/museum studies courses as you come to understand and appreciate art from around the world and immerse yourself in the study and the conversations about culture and creativity. Compliment your studies with courses outside your area of focus to achieve the goals you have set out for your future endeavours.

You have the flexibility to explore a range of emerging and traditional art studio areas: drawing, painting, sculpture, installation, performance art, photography, printmaking, media and electronic art. You will learn a full range of technical and theoretical approaches to artmaking, put at the forefront of this diverse and exiting field of study.

As a senior student, you have 24/7 access to your own studio and the support from a studio professor of your choice, who will work one-on-one with you to develop your own artistic direction. In addition to having your own studio space, you will develop the critical abilities to evaluate artists and develop your artist style and direction through discussion and open dialogue on contemporary art with practicing arts on and off campus. Choose from courses that reflect today’s art word combined with art history to balance your art practice with academic studies.
