Description

British Columbia's high tech sector is growing rapidly, with Vancouver becoming a global hub for the IT industry. The continued growth of the IT sector creates demand for a range of IT professionals, including support analysts, network administrators, web developers, business and systems analysts, security specialists, system integrators, and more.

The BCIT Computer Information Technology (CIT) Diploma is a unique two-year full-time program which will prepare you for a well-paying career in the IT sector. Focusing on emerging tools and technologies, and offering hands-on work on real industry projects, you'll be equipped for exciting and evolving tech careers across this growing industry.

Note: It is recommended that students interested in the September intake apply to the March 1st deadline to increase their chance of acceptance. The April deadline is only available if space permits. The same goes for the January intake - the September 1st deadline is recommended to increase their chance of acceptance and the October deadline is available if space permits.

Exams

English Proficiency Requirements:

For direct admission, applicant must be from an English speaking country or meet either of the following English test scores:

  • Min TOEFL iBT: 86
  • Min IELTS overall: 6.5
  • Min Duolingo English Test Score: 105

For conditional admission, instead of submitting language proficiency test scores, applicant may complete English courses prior to the academic program. The length of the English course is determined based on the applicant's level of English proficiency.
